Bunkering at Sea

In addition to in-port supply, Clipper Oil also offers bunkering at sea via offshore/high-seas fuel tankers. Clipper Oil supplies competitively priced bunkers via offshore/high-seas fuel tankers in all oceans worldwide including the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans.

Our main bunker supply areas in the Pacific Ocean include:

• Offshore Ecuador/Mexico/Peru/Panama

• Offshore Kiribati/Marshall Islands/Papua New Guinea/Solomon Islands/FSM

• Offshore North Pacific/Bering Sea in the waters between Russia and Alaska

In addition to the tankers operating in the Pacific, Clipper Oil also caters to vessels operating in the Gulf of Mexico, South America and offshore West Africa.

Taking bunkers at high-seas is convenient and can save vessel owners thousands of dollars by avoiding costly port/agency/calling costs and lost travel time. The majority of the high-seas fuel tankers only carry/supply MGO (DMA), although some of the high-seas tankers can also supply IFO-380cst (3.5%S) and VLSFO (0.5%S). All of the fuel supplied by the high-seas tankers meets strict international bunker specifications and conforms to Regulations 14 and 18 of Annex VI of MARPOL 73/78.
